Sister Schools

Sister schools are used to link a primary class to a secondary year level within their local community. Through sister schools, secondary school students are encouraged to participate in activities that complement the work being done by the junior Weed Warriors.

Case Study:

Students from the local primary school rear the gorse spider mite destined for release at a local bushland reserve. Year 11 students from the local secondary school map the gorse infestation at the release site to help the local land managers determine the best release site. Year 8 students from the same secondary school take responsibility for monitoring the release site and report back to the primary school students.
